Additional Information

This 1.25-hour CME-certified session brings together 25 healthcare providers for an immersive learning experience focused on closing gaps in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) care through both clinical innovation and cultural competency.

The program begins with an expert-led live lecture exploring the latest evidence-based strategies for diagnosing and managing IBD, with a focus on integrating new and emerging therapies, optimizing treat-to-target approaches, and addressing the impact of social determinants of health. Faculty will highlight practical, patient-centered methods for improving outcomes across diverse populations, including those facing healthcare access and equity challenges.

Following the lecture, participants will engage in an optional AI-powered simulation workshop featuring interactive patient avatars that replicate complex, real-world clinical scenarios. These simulations allow you to practice diagnostic reasoning, treatment selection, and culturally sensitive communication in a low-risk, high-feedback environment. Real-time coaching and performance tracking help reinforce learning and provide actionable insights you can take back to your practice.

Each participant will also receive a "follow-up" patient case within the simulation to reinforce key takeaways, apply new skills to fresh scenarios, and assess long-term retention. This component strengthens the bridge between education and real-world clinical practice.

Developed in partnership with the Color of Gastrointestinal Illness (COGI) and regional faculty ambassadors, this program is designed to foster peer-to-peer learning and ensure content is both locally relevant and nationally applicable. The intimate setting allows for meaningful discussion, collaborative problem-solving, and personalized feedback from faculty.

Light refreshments will be served to encourage networking and informal knowledge exchange.

This activity includes a 1 hour live discussion followed by a 15 minute optional simulation workshop.
